A TRIBUTE TO OUR ASCENDED BROTHERS

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

-John 3:16 KJV

Clayton Lynch “Dubmaster”

Hailing from Yallas Bay, St. Thomas, Jamaica, Clayton “Dubmaster” Lynch, affectionately known as “Dubba,” was a poet, musician, artist, and philosopher at Tree-A-Life. Alongside Jerome “The Great Owl” Butler and X, Dubba was one of Tree-A-Life’s star attractions, captivating audiences with thought-provoking and electrifying poetry, music, and live performances. This dynamic trio, known as LSX (Lynch, Sage, and X), produced signature works like “One Drop” and “Lynchin Dem.” Dubba also collaborated with the group Raging Fyah, harmonizing the poignant “Hole in the World.”

In 2014, Clayton Lynch, our beloved Dubba, was taken from us suddenly in a tragic car accident, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jason Cruickshank”Ganja Ganjari”

Jason Cruickshank, affectionately known as “Ganja,” embodied the spirit of his namesake. He radiated the good vibes and clarity that came with smoking a spliff, generously sharing that energy with everyone he encountered.

As the rock star of Tree-A-Life, Ganja had it all: the wild hair, the roaring motorcycle, and the incredible music. Like his Tree-A-Life peers, he was an artist, musician, philosopher, and poet, crafting experimental sounds like “Babylon Circus” and “Black Ash.” Ganja lived life on his own terms, fearlessly embracing every moment.

In 2014, his talent began to shine in the public eye when he was featured on Entertainment Report, and he even ventured into film. Tragically, that same year, Ganja became the victim of a hit and run. Ites, Ites, Ites, Ganja, you will never be forgotten.

Sir Benjamin Wilson “Benny The Bard”

Our own wise elder, Sir Benjamin, was more than a sharp dresser with the spirit of a true aristocrat; he was a living testament to the rich tapestry of history and wisdom. His presence commanded respect, and his sartorial elegance was matched only by the depth of his knowledge and the eloquence with which he shared it. Sir Benjamin’s stories were not just tales of the past but profound lessons woven with insights that resonated deeply with all who listened.

At Tree-A-Life, he stood as the greatest among philosophers, a beacon of wisdom whose youthful energy and zest for life belied his age. His conversations were masterclasses in history, philosophy, and life, each one leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to engage with him. Sir Benjamin’s charisma and intellectual prowess were the glue that held the Tree-A-Life community together, inspiring both young and old to seek knowledge and live life fully.

In 2014, Tree-A-Life suffered an irreplaceable loss as Sir Benjamin departed from this world. His legacy, however, endures in the hearts and minds of all who were touched by his wisdom and spirit. Sir Benjamin lived a life rich with experiences, and his impact continues to ripple through the lives of those who carry forward his teachings.

Tree -A- Life, More Life,

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

He went away from me.
There’s nothing more to say.

I loved my friend.”
